PoolFORCE’S 60 MIL membrane was the perfect solution for the Sheffield apartment building’s rooftop pool at 322 W. 57th St. in Manhattan. Located on the 57th floor, the 24-foot by40-foot pool for apartment owners was showing signs of pitting and rust and was unattractive. The R. Story Development crew easily moved equipment and membrane on the building’s freight elevator. “The membrane was easier to install than plaster, there was no noise and no odor as far as welding,” says Richard Story, installer. “It’s a very clean solution. When you plaster, there is a conditioning period of up to two weeks. With the poolFORCE membrane, the
minute you finish, you put water in the pool and start swimming. That’s a big advantage.”
The project was completed within a week.
